11/3/01 9am — We spent the morning wandering around the Central Market area in Sa Pa, where many of the Hill Tribe people come to sell there stuff... and to shop. We got lots of good pictures, so we thought the day merited it's own page. As usual, click on the small images to get a bigger version.
In the afternoon we walked about 3km (downhill... meaning uphill on the way back) to the village of "Cat Cat" (which I am sure has nothing to do with cats). We're not entirely sure we reached the village itself, but the highlight was to visit its waterfall. Along the way was a giant staircase down the mountainside to the waterfall, with several hundred stairs down... then up. Fortunately there was beer at the end of the journey.
